At Gela Design Studio, I make and prepare every piece with care. I want your order to arrive safely and feel just as you imagined it would.
Because many of my pieces are carefully prepared, made to order, or personalized especially for you, I have a few guidelines in place for returns and refunds.
Personalized & Custom-Made Items
Personalized and custom-made items are created specifically according to your chosen details, making them unique to your order.
Because of their bespoke nature, personalized and custom-made items are non-returnable and non-refundable for change-of-mind reasons, including changes in preference, color, design, size, personalization details, or simply deciding that the item is no longer wanted.
Before I begin creating a personalized item, please make sure that all names, dates, spellings, measurements, colors, designs, and other requested details are correct.
Once production has started, changes to a personalized order may no longer be possible.
This does not affect your rights if an item arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or does not reasonably match the details of your confirmed order.
When I Accept Returns or Refunds
I will be happy to help if your order arrives with an issue caused by me.
You may contact me if:
- Your item arrived damaged or defective.
- You received the wrong item.
- Your order is missing an item or contains an incorrect quantity.
- The item you received is materially different from the product or specifications you ordered.
- A personalization or customization was produced incorrectly due to an error on my part.
Depending on the situation, I may arrange a replacement, repair, refund, or another appropriate solution.
For issues covered by this policy, I will work with you to resolve the concern without placing the cost of correcting my mistake on you.
Damaged Items
I carefully package every order before it leaves my studio, but I understand that parcels can sometimes experience rough handling during transit.
If your order arrives damaged, please contact me as soon as possible after delivery.
Please send me:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the item
- Photos of the packaging and shipping label
- A short description of what happened
If possible, please keep the original packaging until I have reviewed the concern. Photos and other documentation help me understand what happened and coordinate the appropriate solution with the courier or delivery partner.
Wrong or Incorrect Items
If I accidentally send you the wrong item, incorrect quantity, or an item with a personalization error caused by me, please contact me so I can make it right.
I may request photos or other information to verify the issue before arranging a replacement or refund.
Change of Mind
I understand that sometimes plans change. However, I do not accept returns or refunds simply because you have changed your mind, no longer need the item, or prefer a different design after your order has been completed.
This is especially important for personalized and custom-made pieces, which are created specifically for you and may not be suitable for resale.
If you are unsure about a product, size, color, design, or personalization before placing your order, please feel free to message me. I am always happy to help you make sure everything feels right before I begin.
Return Conditions
For items that are eligible for return, please make sure that the item:
- Is in its original condition.
- Has not been used, altered, washed, damaged, or modified after delivery.
- Includes its original packaging and included items, where applicable.
- Is accompanied by your order details or proof of purchase.
Certain products may have additional return requirements depending on their nature.
Items that have been damaged through misuse, improper handling, or alterations made after delivery may not qualify for a return or refund.
Return Shipping
When an issue is caused by me, such as receiving the wrong item or an item that arrived defective or damaged, I will coordinate with you regarding the appropriate return or replacement process.
For any return that is not caused by an error or defect on my part, shipping costs may be the customer’s responsibility, where a return is otherwise permitted.

Please do not send an item back without first contacting me and receiving return instructions.
Refunds
If a refund is approved, I will confirm the amount and refund method with you.
Refunds will generally be processed using the original payment method where practical and available. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
Shipping or delivery fees may not be refundable unless the return is due to an error, defect, or other circumstance for which I am responsible.
Order Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, please contact me as soon as possible.
For regular items, cancellation may be possible if production or fulfillment has not yet started.
For personalized or custom-made orders, cancellation may not be possible once I have started preparing or producing the item, particularly when materials or resources have already been committed specifically to your order.
I will always do my best to accommodate cancellation requests when I can.
